NOTICE SPECIAL PUBLIC OFFERING OF Crown Petroleum and Natural Gas Rights within CFB SUFFIELD MONDAY, APRIL 3, 2000 Information Letter 99-36 stated that parcels requested for posting in CFB Suffield would be included in the Public Offering Notice for the April 5, 2000 sale. Due to the excessive number of postings requested for this one sale, the department has decided to hold a special public offering for parcels requested in CFB Suffield. This sale will be held on April 3rd, 2000, separate from the regularly scheduled sale. As a result, this notice is meant to provide advance information to industry of the following key dates: Sales Results Sale Date: Publishing Date: Released: Parcels within CFB Suffield 12 noon, Mon. 10 am Tues., April 3, 2000 February 9, 2000 April 4, 2000 IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT : The Surface Access Agreement (SAA) has to be executed by Alberta, Range Safety and the successful bidder(s) immediately following the Special Public Offering. · This agreement is required before access will be allowed. · In order to take advantage of the window of activity on the base, that opens on April 10 and closes on April 30, arrangements will be made to complete the execution of the SAA by the Lessee/Operator in Calgary on April 7, 2000. KEY REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF ACTIVITIES: Bidders at the Suffield sale are strongly urged to read the terms and condition of the Surface Access Agreement and the ten (10) attached schedules very carefully, paying particular attention to the following: · Insurance Requirements · Liability Issues · Role of Operators. · Role of Range Safety · Surface Access Fees and Surface Compensation · Submission of Annual Activity Plan and Operational Procedures. · Organization and Role of the Operators' Committee For those potential lessees who wish to take advantage of the April window, it would prove of benefit to bring all requirements for entry to the base to a level of preparation that will allow them to obtain immediate approval from Range Safety following the execution of the SAA.
