DISCONTINUATION

		  OFFSET OBLIGATION
		      WARNINGS

		   IN SALE NOTICES


As mentioned in Information Letter 2000-6 dated 
February 23, 2000, Notices of Public Offerings 
(Sale Notices) will no longer include a warning 
that a lease parcel is subject to an offset 
requirement.  It will be a company's responsibility 
to determine if there are producing freehold oil or 
gas wells in spacing units laterally and/or diagonally 
adjoining the Crown spacing units it intends to post 
or to bid on, that would cause an offset notice to be 
generated.
