Oil and Gas Development Area

In an effort to mitigate the cumulative effects of industrial activity in 
the Redrock-Prairie Creek caribou herd during their winter migration, a 
portion of the range has been established as a postponement area for 
industrial activity.

New applications for oil and gas developments, received after Oct. 15, 1999 
in this area will not be considered until May 31, 2000.

The Department of Resource Development will provide term extensions to holders 
of oil and gas agreements in the postponement area if necessary.

This notice will effect the parcels offered in the following sales:
